Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Software, Retail and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 1.58%, while the MDAX index climbed 1.32%, and the TecDAX index climbed 2.23%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p), which rose 6.77% or 18.50 points to trade at 291.70 at the close. Meanwhile, SAP SE (ETR:SAPG) added 5.27% or 8.76 points to end at 174.86 and Merck KGaA (ETR:MRCG) was up 4.03% or 5.95 points to 153.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (ETR:HNKG_p), which fell 2.65% or 1.96 points to trade at 72.08 at the close. Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:SY1G) declined 0.74% or 0.77 points to end at 104.40 and RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:RWEG) was down 0.44% or 0.14 points to 31.93.
The top performers on the MDAX were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which rose 5.76% to 29.39, Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was up 5.40% to settle at 22.65 and Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:AT1) which gained 5.35% to close at 1.96.
The worst performers were Befesa SA (ETR:BFSA) which was down 3.39% to 31.32 in late trade, Aurubis AG (ETR:NAFG) which lost 1.97% to settle at 72.30 and Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:WCHG) which was down 1.32% to 108.70 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) which rose 6.77% to 291.70, Suess Microtec NA O.N. (ETR:SMHNn) which was up 5.52% to settle at 45.90 and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which gained 5.40% to close at 22.65.

(ETR:MORG) which unchanged 0.00% to settle at 67.75 and Freenet AG NA (ETR:FNTGn) which was up 0.15% to 27.30 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 437 to 177 and 32 ended unchanged.
Shares in Suess Microtec NA O.N. (ETR:SMHNn) rose to all time highs; rising 5.52% or 2.40 to 45.90. Shares in Freenet AG NA (ETR:FNTGn) rose to 5-year highs; rising 0.15% or 0.04 to 27.30.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 8.62% to 14.74.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.39% or 9.05 to $2,337.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.25% or 1.02 to hit $82.92 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 1.13% or 0.98 to trade at $87.98 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.38% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.30% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 105.60.
