Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Construction, Technology and Software sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX declined 0.53% to hit a new 1-month low, while the MDAX index fell 0.72%, and the TecDAX index declined 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:SY1G), which rose 1.35% or 1.40 points to trade at 105.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Qiagen NV (ETR:QIA) added 1.19% or 0.44 points to end at 37.47 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:DBKGn) was up 1.04% or 0.15 points to 14.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Covestro AG (ETR:1COV), which fell 2.90% or 1.45 points to trade at 48.50 at the close. Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) declined 2.62% or 7.30 points to end at 271.60 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) was down 2.43% or 0.75 points to 30.14.
The top performers on the MDAX were Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:WCHG) which rose 3.35% to 109.65, HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) which was up 2.18% to settle at 6.83 and LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:LEGn) which gained 1.45% to close at 74.28.
The worst performers were Befesa SA (ETR:BFSA) which was down 5.66% to 33.00 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which lost 4.59% to settle at 21.40 and Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC) which was down 4.30% to 129.00 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Suess Microtec NA O.N. (ETR:SMHNn) which rose 6.51% to 43.35, Qiagen NV (ETR:QIA) which was up 1.19% to settle at 37.47 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which gained 1.02% to close at 37.58.
The worst performers were Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was down 4.59% to 21.40 in late trade, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which lost 3.36% to settle at 45.96 and Atoss Software AG (ETR:AOFG) which was down 3.03% to 240.00 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 354 to 251 and 30 ended unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 2.81% to 16.85.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.44% or 10.65 to $2,408.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.47% or 0.39 to hit $83.12 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.24% or 0.21 to trade at $87.32 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.44% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 105.89.
